


Leadership In Action- What Is It?
PCAEYC wants to help develop leaders in the field of early childhood education by offering a leadership academy.
This program starts in September and ends in May, however there is no meeting in December.
Selected candidates must commit to 8 months of professional development in order to be considered.
The Academy will meet one Saturday per month for sessions of 4 hours each.
Each session will offer a variety of professional development opportunities including reading discussions, guest presentations, self assessment, networking, skills development and the development of a personal leadership project.
In addition to the monthly Saturday sessions, candidates will have monthly contact their mentor/coach, spend time working on their personal project, and preparing for the Saturday sessions.
